The Alliance Française of Santo Domingo and the scenarist Jessica Oublié invited TMAF to present its HOMO SARGASSUM project in two double pages spread in their brilliant and necessary comic-book
Project Summary
The comic book shows 9 stories, created by 9 teams composed by a scenarist, a scientist and a drawer, from 9 territories impacted by sargassum (Antigua, Barbados, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Martinique, Mexico, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia and Venezuela).
Its aim is to inform, in an educational and artistic way, on the various opportunities offered by the Sargasso so that these last ones cease being only perceived as sanitary and environmental threats. For this purpose, the comic-book has been translated in English, French, Spanish and creole.
The works of the TMAF artists in residence for the HOMO-SARGASSUM project are presented at the end of the comic-book, in the documentary booklet and all the artists of the project are named.
