Our profiles and backgrounds vary from the arts world, the academic field, non-profit organizations and international relations. We speak six languages all together to facilitate the best communication with artists in the Caribbean and institutions worldwide.
TMAF Founding Board Member, President
Independant Curator and Art Critic. Associate Professor in the Department of Latino and Caribbean Studies and the Department of Art History and Rutgers University. Her latest exhibition, "Relational Undercurrents: Contemporary Art og the Caribbean Archipelago", was installed at the Getty Foundation, at the Museum of Latin American Art in LA, at the Wallach Art Gallery in New York and the Frost Art Museum in Miami.
TMAF Founding Board Member, Secretary
Professor of French & English & core faculty in Comparative Literature. She obtained her Ph.D. in 1996 from Louisiana State University where she studied with Caribbean poet andd theorist Édouard Glissant. She is the author of several books on Caribbean literature.
TMAF Founding Board Member, Treasurer
Co-founder & director of the Haitian Cultural Arts Alliance and member of the Board of trustees at Pérez Art Museum Miami. She is also on the Steering committee's Fund for African American Art and Board memberof the Cultural Affairs Commitee in Miami.
