INSPIRATION, 3E-VALUES, MISSION
A tribute to Édouard Glissant (1928-2011)
The TOUT-MONDE Art FOUNDATION is a tribute to Édouard Glissant, Martinican philosopher, author and poet who invented the concept of the Tout-Monde, an “All-World” where identities are born and built through the connection with the Other.
Inspired by French philosophers Félix Guattari and Gilles Deleuze, who conceived a horizontally connected society based on the schematic growth of a rhizome, as opposed to the vertical growth of a root, Edouard Glissant proposes a new vision for the cultural definition of belonging: the rhizomatic identity. Instead of being rooted in one place, anchored to one language, every human identity is defined by stealthy or prominent encounters with the Other evolving through time and space, defined by our relation to the Other and our acts.
This definition of identities opens up a whole new area for art-activists (ARTIVISTS) and all individuals to explore and connect to the All-World, beyond their usual spaces, habits and language. It helps overcome prejudices and discrimination through the world, by caring about one same planet and universe. This is our vision of the Tout-Monde, the All-World, the Whole-World.

ECOLOGY - EQUALITY - EDUCATION
Because ART IS POLITIC, we support artistic expressions that mirror and reflect on our society, as a way to share, grow, love, hate, understand and fulfill dreams together.
Thinking and rethinking together contemporary challenges, we encourage ARTIVISTS and projects that focus on one of our 3E-values:
• ECOLOGY – Raise ecological consciousness on oceanic pollution, sea level rise, climate change, endangered species etc., trying to build a universally shared ecological artistic consciousness.
• EQUAL RIGHTS – Fight for equal rights and combat discriminations against race, gender, belief, religion and all discriminations.
• EDUCATION – Support access to education to all generations and communities, through targeted pedagogic workshops and community outreach.
Education is the key, and freedom of speech is the door; we stir up progressive ideas, as Equality, inclusion, right to fight, to question our society with creativity.

We build bridges between the Caribbean & the rest of the world through creative collaborations between artists & thinkers
WE CREATE, ADVISE AND CO-FUND CARIBBEAN PROJECTS FOCUSING ON OUR 3E
We create opportunities for international creative collaborations between artists and thinkers.
We encourage world-wide contemporary expressions and international cooperation to understand and share cultural diversity, creating a Poetic of Relation as imagined by Edouard Glissant.
We build bridges between the Caribbean and the rest of the world, between cultural and political actors, between the public and the private sector, to open minds and change the way we act and think by focusing on Ecology, Equality and Education.
Our missions are declined through 3 concrete actions:
• Identify and elaborate artistic projects with a political or social purpose related to our 3E-values, specifically tailored to interested organizations, brands or events;
• Advise in cultural programming of institutions or developing private and public collections to further incorporate Caribbean contemporary art;
• Raise funds to co-produce selected projects with your esteemed partners worldwide.
