The Asso-Mer association, in collaboration with the TOUT-MONDE Art FOUNDATION, launches a call for project to find an artist capable of creating a sculpture, symbol of the urgency of cleaning our seabed.
The TOUT-MONDE Art FOUNDATION is looking for an artist for half a day in October or November (depending on the availability of the artist), as part of a project with L’ASSO-MER.
The project would consist in the creation of a marine animal or seafood (see photo) from the nets used for the fishermen's traps which will be collected the same day at the bottom of the water by volunteer divers.
The work can be finalized by the artist afterwards according to his creative inspiration. The artist may also add other ecological materials in addition to the fishermen's nets.
The work will serve as a repository for waste collected on the beach by the general public. The work would be an itinerant awareness-raising tool, it would allow the public to be made aware of the events organized during beach pick-ups for example.
Remuneration to be negotiated
